A new Wilmington police officer was injured on his way to an emergency call just a few days after being released to work on his own. <br>The accident happened about 4:30 a.m. Saturday as Officer C.A. Greer<br>was driving east on Oleander Drive to respond to a breaking and entering call, according to Wilmington police spokeswoman Lucy Crockett.
