Shot West Columbus player faces possible amputation

A West Columbus football player who was shot in the abdomen early Saturday morning remains in intensive care at a Greenville hospital as of Sunday evening.

Man sent to intensive care after recycling truck crash

A large recycling truck crashed into a van on Oleander Drive Sunday morning, sending the van’s driver to the intensive care unit, officials said.<br>Witnesses told police the recycling truck ran a red light at the intersection of Oleander and Floral Parkway, according to Lucy Crockett, spokeswoman for the Wilmington Police Department.

Crossroads: Wilmington looks at ending red-light camera program

Wilmington leaders have expressed nothing but praise for the red-light camera program over the years. <br>”It reduces crashes, and as a result, saves money in car damage and medical bills” is a refrain they’ve repeated.<br>But the future of the program now comes down to dollars and cents. And city coffers are tight.
