Two days after his election as a New Hanover County commissioner, Jason Thompson hit the road in a three-hour cleanup operation. <br>City and county ordinances insist that the 1,012 campaign signs Thompson posted during the race had to be collected within 30 days of the election, and Thompson was getting a head start.
