Two Brunswick towns discuss annexation

Calabash and Sunset Beach don’t want to be fenced in by each other, leading to recent moves to annex nearby subdivisions.<br>The Sunset Beach Town Council plans to discuss a resolution of intent to annex an area west of the town, on the east side on the N.C. 179 business route called Beach Drive Southwest.

Government plans new program to aid credit issuers

Vick pleads guilty to state dogfighting charge

SUSSEX, Va. | Former NFL star quarterback Michael Vick has pleaded guilty to a state dogfighting charge in Virginia in a bid to make him eligible for early release from jail.<br>The 28-year-old Vick pleaded guilty to one charge and not guilty to a second count involving torturing or killing animals. The second count was dropped.
