N.C. carjacking suspect clubbed with frozen turkey

North Carolina authorities say a shopper clubbed an alleged carjacker with a frozen turkey as he tried to steal a woman’s car in a grocery store parking lot Sunday.

Man robbed in parking lot

A man was held up in a parking lot in the 400 block of Racine Drive early Monday.<br>The victim told officers that at just before 1 a.m. a man approached him and put a gun to his head, according to Lucy Crockett, spokeswoman for the Wilmington Police Department.<br>The victim handed over his wallet and the suspect, a man in his 20s, ran away.

Would-be thief searches bag

An armed robber searched a woman’s grocery bag Sunday night, then handed it back to her without taking anything, officials said.<br>The would-be robbery occurred in a parking lot at 6509 Greenville Loop Road, the same address where a pizza delivery man was robbed Saturday night.

Music store theft stopped by police

Wilmington police officers caught music store burglary suspects in the act Sunday afternoon, officials said.<br>They arrested two males, one of them a juvenile, and are looking for a third male who escaped with an electric guitar, according to Lucy Crockett, spokeswoman for the Wilmington Police Department.

Police seek to identify suspected thief

Wilmington police are asking people to identify a woman they say stole a purse at Walmart in September.<br>The woman is seen in a surveillance video wearing a yellow shirt and holding a purse, which authorities say belonged to someone else.
