Strategies help North Brunswick students achieve, principal says

Data shows North Brunswick High’s most recent pass rate in end-of-course tests, for 2007-08, was about 67 percent, as opposed to about 49 percent the year before. The school’s principal attributes this 18-point increase to changes in classes and teaching strategies.

Regulars will miss food, camaraderie at Valino’s

Sam White was on his way to Valino’s around 7 a.m. Wednesday, like he did every morning, and saw firefighters extinguishing the remnants of the blaze. A big table, reserved for regulars, meant he wouldn’t have to eat alone.

Body discovered at school; classes to resume Thursday

Police have identified an apparent homicide victim as Wilmington resident Daryon Terrell Walker, 19, after a staff member discovered his body in front of Snipes Academy of Arts and Design early Wednesday morning.
