Two charged in robbery at Wilmington pool hall

Two men were charged Sunday night with robbing a man in the rest room of Break Time Billiards, according to a release from the Wilmington Police Department.

Wreck ties up traffic Monday evening on N.C. 17 near Hampstead

Drivers are asked to avoid U.S. 17 near Hampstead this evening, if possible, officials said.<br>About 6:45 p.m. troopers with N.C. Highway Patrol were working a traffic accident with injuries, according to 1st Sgt. D.R. Carter.<br>The wreck is near Topsail Baptist Church, which is at 18885 U.S. 17, officials said.<br>- David Reynolds

Wilmington company settles racial discrimination lawsuit

A Wilmington company that up until last year ran several gas station/convenience stores will pay $105,000 to settle a racial discrimination lawsuit involving three former cashiers who are African-American, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission announced Monday.
