Water bills set to flow at faster rate

Cape Fear Public Utility Authority customers should expect to see bills coming quicker as the organization plays catch-up.<br>About 70 percent of the second round of bills have been sent to customers and officials expect to finish by next week, said Brent McAbee, chief financial officer for the authority.

Not many people showed up Monday night for Prologue, the Star-News/WHQR book club, but guest Nancy A. Collins was in a particularly good mood. For one thing, it looks as if her young adult novel “VAMPS” might follow “Twilight” and “TrueBlood” to the screen.
