All lanes of U.S. 17 open after wreck in Brunswick County

All northbound lanes on U.S. 17 near the merge with eastbound U.S. 74/76 have reopened. An accident involving a small car and a tractor-trailer delayed traffic in the area this morning.

Post-hurricane aid may shrink since dip in Salvation Army donations

The Salvation Army is struggling with dwindling donations across the country that will make it hard to give long-term assistance after a disaster. A spokesman for the charity says “we have to hope and pray” this year’s hurricane season is mild.

Shark bites woman at Holden Beach
