Digital foot scan puts patients back on their feet

At some point we, or someone we know has experienced back, neck, or knee pain. A local Chiropractor has found a way to help ease those aches.

Doctor Arian Kelley says often times that pain is a direct result of imbalances in our feet. He does a digital foot scan so he can locate the imbalances and fit patients with “Orthotics” or Foot Levelers that help them become active again. And his patients swear by it.

As a mom and Nurse, Michelle Flowers spends an awful lot of time on her feet. She used to suffer from severe neck and back pain, until Dr. Kelley told her about “Orthotics”.

“I was pretty skeptical, you know do I really want to put these things in my shoes, but as it turned out, after just one weekend of wearing them, I’m a believer now, so all the skeptism is gone and my pain is gone so I’m a pretty happy person”, says Flowers.

Orthotics fit into your shoe to straighten out any imbalances that can create pain throughout the body.

“The feet are the foundation and if your foundation isn’t well-supported or well-balanced, you’re not well-supported or well-balanced,” says Dr. Kelley.

Dr. Kelley detects the imbalances by performing a digital foot scan. Then he examines the images on the computer.

Orthotics can be made specifically for golfers or runners and there’s even a flip flop version.

Flowers says she won’t leave home without them. “My shoes feel funny without them in there. There’s no pain. I stand straighter. It’s cause I don’t hurt.”

Dr. Kelley says the digital foot scan costs about fifty dollars. A standard pair of Orthotics costs about three hundred fifty dollars and they’re guaranteed to last a year.
