$150,000 in stolen motorcycles, construction equipment recovered; Wilmington man charged

Eddie L. Blocker III was charged with eight felony counts of possession of stolen goods and five felony counts of altering or changing a manufacturer’s serial number, according to a statement from the DMV.

CFPUA holds meeting about new water filtration system

A new water filtration system will soon be in place for northern New Hanover County residents.

The Cape Fear Public Utility Authority said the additional filtration will improve the quality of water and provide alternatives to water softeners used by many homeowners. The CFPUA is also working on a new program to ensure the safety and quality of drinking water.

You can find out what this means to you at a public meeting Thursday night. It runs from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Ogden Elementary School.
