Two men face drug charges

Wilmington | Two men were arrested on drug charges Friday, according to police.Wilmington Police arrested Christopher Lamar McEachin, 32, and James Junior Conyers, 40, and confiscated drugs and weapons from McEachin’s residence at 808 McRae Street, which is near Snipes Academy of Arts and Design.

Dog adoption back on in Brunswick County

Dog adoptions are back on at the Brunswick County Animal Shelter.

Adoptions were put on hold last month after two dogs tested positive for distemper, A highly-contagious respiratory disease.

After consultations with the shelter’s veterinarian and experts at NC State University, the decision has been made to resume adoptions again beginning Monday at 10:00 a.m.
