Scotts Hill residents split on benefits of county water

If Pender County is able to come to an agreement to get water from the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority, county water could be available to residential and commercial customers in teh Scotts Hill area in early 2011.

Former Hurricane Fred made himself at home Tuesday in Southeastern North Carolina, wringing out as much as 6.5 inches of rain from the remaining tropical wave.Along with the rain, 80-degree temperatures marked the first day of fall.
