Trick-or-Treat Trot scheduled

A one-mile fun run/walk is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. Oct. 24 at the Jo Ann Harrelson Center, 20 N. Fourth St. The course is a 5K USATF certified and sanctioned course.

Burgaw commissioners discuss public safety, drainage

Improving public safety and tackling drainage issues were among the top topics at the Burgaw Board of Commissioners meeting Tuesday.The board agreed to move forward with an amended plan to construct new sidewalks along state-maintained roads using a $49,075 state grant.
