DOT land in Burgaw eyed for recreation area

Continuing a community push to bring youth recreation facilities to Burgaw, Johnny Stringfield has asked the Burgaw Board of Commissioners to write a letter of support for use of state land on a temporary basis.

Rosewood Middle School in Goldsboro has come up with a novel fundraising plan after last year’s chocolate sale flopped. The school will sell 20 test points to students for a $20-dollar donation.
