Moravian Candle Tea has illuminated holiday season for decades

Topsail Beach abolishes shoreline protection panel

It was out with the old, in with the new in Topsail Beach on Wednesday.Just an hour after three new board members were sworn in, they voted 3-1 to abolish the town’s shoreline protection committee, with the board of commissioners assuming its responsibilities.

Man shot during 2008 gambling raid to serve 20 years

William Joseph Inman, whose sentence will be followed by five years of probation, was found guilty in April of illegally possessing a firearm as a convicted felon while participating in what his lawyer said was a “peaceful, albeit illegal” gambling business.

Missing children thought to be en route to Wilmington with their father

SANTA FE, N.M. | Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office detectives are looking for information regarding the whereabouts of three missing children from Eldorado.The children all attend Eldorado Elementary School and have been missing since Tuesday afternoon.
