Church experience brings new meaning to ‘living Nativity’ scene

Helen Turner was a bookkeeper and William Turner was a parts manager when they fell in love.“It was love at first sight,” said Helen’s husband, William.Helen Meares Turner died Nov. 20 from cancer at the age of 81.As the youngest of eight children, Turner grew up on a farm in Emerson, N.C. near Clarkton.
