Woman dies in early morning wreck on Carolina Beach Road

The Wilmington Police Department is investigating a fatal crash in the 3500 block of Carolina Beach Road, according to a news release. The call was dispatched at 1:28 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Rory Elizabeth Michaelson’s friends and family say she always put other people first. Whether she was student teaching at Gregory elementary school or waiting tables at Ruby Tuesday, Michaelson made friends quickly and kept up with them when she moved on, friends say.
