State tells ABCs to set travel policies by March

Local officials said Thursday they are zeroing in on policies dealing with travel, gifts and ethics issues. The interim board is expected to report on the ABC board’s operations in the next three to four months.

Developer’s companies owe Brunswick County millions in back taxes

Several companies owned by local developer Mark Saunders owe more than $2 million in back taxes for 2009 and 2008. Saunders is the president of The Coastal Companies, parent company of developments such as Seawatch at Sunset Harbor and Ocean Ridge Plantation.
