Parks are on the city of Wilmington’s mind this week.At Tuesday’s Wilmington City Council meeting, the council will consider adopting a 134-page parks and recreation master plan, which outlines recommendations for enhancements to the city’s park system.

Will the New Hanover County commissioners have to raise property taxes to deal with a massive budget hole?It’s too early to say, but the commissioners embarked Tuesday on the perilous task of cobbling together the spending plan for the 2010-11 fiscal year, which will run from July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011.
