Teenager injured in Brunswick County wreck is improving

Brunswick County | A teenager who was hospitalized after a two-car crash in Brunswick County that killed the other driver is improving. A New Hanover County Regional Medical Center nursing supervisor said Thursday night that Kendra Horne, 16, of Oak Island was in fair condition.

Zoning issues delay Playhouse 211 opening for months

They say the show must go on, but at the brand-new Playhouse 211 in Brunswick County, that’s just not possible right now. Zoning issues have postponed the Jan. 22 opening night of the 84-seat theater’s debut production, a comedy titled “The Sensuous Senator,” possibly until October.
