WPD investigates shots fired into house

Wilmington | Shots were fired in a Wilmington neighborhood Tuesday night, though police say no one was injured.Around 8:47 p.m., someone fired several shots into the kitchen window of an apartment occupied by four people, according to a statement from Lucy Crockett, spokeswoman for the Wilmington Police Department.

Tuesday night wreck leads to DWI charge for driver

Wilmington | A man was arrested on a drunken-driving charge after authorities say he ran a red light and caused a wreck Tuesday night.At 8 p.m. officers went to the intersection of South Third and Dawson streets to investigate a crash, according to a statement from Lucy Crockett, spokeswoman for the Wilmington Police Department.

Nesbitt Courts decision put off by lack of qorum

The Wilmington Housing Authority board put off a decision Wednesday evening about the sale of the abandoned Nesbitt Courts public housing complex because there weren’t enough commissioners at the meeting to take a legal vote.
