Sheriff’s office investigating Castle Hayne gas station robbery

Castle Hayne | Robbers struck a convenience store around 8 p.m. Tuesday, officials said.The robbery was of the Kangaroo store at 5800 Castle Hayne Road, according to a statement from New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Cpl. Charles Smith.

Kure Beach | For the second month in a row, the Kure Beach town council voted to delay approving appointments to various committees, including a seat on the Planning and Zoning Commission.The council approved new policies and procedures for committees, outlining how interviews and appointments to various committees should be handled.

Pender County man facing multiple charges for cocaine dealing

Burgaw | Authorities have charged a 22-year-old man with multiple counts of cocaine-dealing, according to a statement the Pender County Sheriff Office released on Tuesday.Omar Darrell Respus faces charges of possessing crack with the intent to sell and deliver, as well as possessing and selling cocaine, according to the statement.
