Southeastern N.C. records 3 to 6 inches of snow early Saturday

There were 3.8 inches of snow measured at the Wilmington International Airport Saturday morning, with 5.3 inches reported in Surf City and 6 inches in Burgaw.

Car crashes into College Road storefront

Wilmington | A car bashed into a storefront on South College Road Sunday after the driver lost control of the four-door Mercury while trying to park, officials said.The wreck occurred about 3:20 p.m. in the University Landing strip mall in the 400 block of South College Road.
