‘Dear Sis,” the letter starts. “I sure was glad to hear from you and sure glad you are up and well again and everyone is getting along so fine.”It’s from Camp Rucker, Ala., dated simply “Sunday 1942.” It’s signed “Mutt.” Sis must have been ailing.
