Wilmington police investigating shooting

Wilmington | Police are investigating a shooting that happened Monday night near Princess Place Drive.An 18-year-old man who had been shot in his side was found outside a convenience store in the 3000 block of Princess Place Drive just after 7 p.m. Monday, said Lucy Crockett, public information officer for the Wilmington Police Department.

Authorities need help identifying robbery suspect

Castle Hayne | New Hanover County detectives are searching for help identifying a man they say brandished a knife and took money from a Kangaroo store.The man shown in surveillance photos is described as white, about 6 feet tall and with a medium build, according to a news release from the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office.
