Conway, Commandant of the Marine Corps, has a very appreciative, upbeat tone.“My wife, Annette, and I wish you a Happy 90th Birthday on behalf of all Marines!,” it says. “Though you did not wear the uniforms you designed, you are a valued member of our Marine Corps family.”
