Ulrich return to Port City for role in new medical drama

An actor with long-time Wilmington ties is returning to the Port City for a new role.According to The Hollywood Reporter, Skeet Ulrich has signed on to the John Wells-produced medical drama pilot that is filming in town.

Wilmington-area unemployment tops 11 percent in January

The Wilmington area’s unemployment rate jumped to 11.1 percent in January, while the individual counties saw an even bleaker picture, the N.C. Employment Security Commission said Friday.
