Film technicians get rigging refresher at EUE/Screen Gems

To a layman sitting in the crowd it looked like a magic trick.Kent Jorgensen, I.A.T.S.E. Local 80 safety coordinator, held up a metal cable made of three woven strands. He separated the strands, bent them into a oval and rewove them into a seamless loop.

Kidnap charge follows window grab for child

Wilmington | A 28-year-old man was charged with second-degree kidnapping and first-degree burglary after police say he tried to snatch his child out of the window of a Hillcrest home.Michael Eugene Mosley was arrested early Sunday after he tried to reach through a window, police said.He didn’t enter the home.

Rescue horses go from Amish country to downtown Wilmington

Farmers need two horses who pull at the same pace. A mismatched horse is put up for auction, in hopes that a farmer with another slow horse will find a match. But processors bid on the horses to use them for dog food.
