Sidbury Road now open to traffic after brush fire

After two hours of fighting a brush fire in the Castle Hayne area, responders had it under control and prevented it from spreading to a nearby home.The fire broke out about 11:30 a.m. Friday in an area of overgrown brush near the 5500 block of Sidbury Road, said Bill Walker, Cape Fear area ranger for the N.C. Forest Service.
