Firefighters extinguish kitchen blaze

Wilmington | Firefighters extinguished a kitchen fire that started after noon Thursday.The fire started in the kitchen and extended to the attic of a home at 1416 Stanley St., said Capt. Tim Smith of the Wilmington Fire Department.There were no injuries in the fire, he said.– Shannan Bowen
