Hearing scheduled on permit issue in Titan lawsuit

A Superior Court judge plans to hold a hearing next week on whether Titan America can receive an air pollution permit for its Castle Hayne cement plant before a larger environmental review is complete.

Changes to Brunswick County’s dangerous dog ordinance give the county teeth to bite back at people who file a false complaint. People who file a false complaint calling a dog dangerous could face a penalty of $300.
