Wrecks backs up traffic on both Cape Fear and Isabel Holmes bridges

Brunswick Emergency Services said at 4:49 p.m. that outbound traffic was backed up on the Cape Fear Memorial and Isabel Holmes bridges in Wilmington because of wrecks on both bridges.A wreck at the Brunswick River bridge in Brunswick County has delayed traffic in both directions on U.S. 17, a New Hanover County dispatcher said.
