Planning staff see problems with Military Cutoff, Market St. rezoning

New Hanover County planning officials are recommending that the county planning board reject the proposed rezoning of Pages Creek Marine and some adjacent land near the intersection of Military Cutoff Road and Market Street for a new apartment complex.

Old Books finds new Front Street Home

Old Books on Front Street, the downtown used bookstore closed in January, has found a new Front Street home.Store owner Gwenyfar Rohler announced Wednesday that her family had purchased a storefront at 249 N. Front St., the former location of the New Liverpool Cafe.
