Waste handling proposal has New Hanover officials nervous

To R3 Environmental Inc., trash really isn’t garbage.Company officials say they can take a bag of household waste, separate out the recyclables with high-tech machinery and transform the organic waste into biomass for fuel and energy production.But can R3’s tech really separate a Coke bottle from yesterday’s lunch?

Wilmington | Tillie Keister always said the thing she loved about Wilmington was looking out her window and seeing the bright blue sky with lots of clouds.Mildred Stephenson “Tillie” Keister passed away May 2 from complications due to Alzheimer’s at the age of 81.
