Oak Island council proposes new bridge names to DOT officials

Late-night dispute in downtown Wilmington ends in assault charge

Wilmington | A Wilmington man was arrested and charged Tuesday after someone was hit in the face with a glass, according to a news release from the Wilmington Police Department.Sharif Anan Hassan, 20, is charged with assault inflicting serious injury. He was released from the New Hanover County jail under a $5,000 bond.
