Just before 8 p.m. Tuesday, 15-year-old Jonathan Graves held his six-string while a friend joined him at a wooden podium to belt out the lyrics to Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Simple Man.”As the music filled the room, smiles grew across the faces of some elected officials, and residents applauded at the end.
