For as long as he can remember, Greenfield Lake has been a mainstay in the life of William Donald Nelson.He’s not a jogger or cyclist, circling the beautiful banks of one of the oldest parks in Wilmington. No, Don Nelson, a modest man with long gray hair and decked out in camouflage, usually with a bit of sawdust on his sleeves, has been playing and fishing on these waters for most of his 66 years.
