Hundreds come out to pay respects to Judge Carroll

Carroll had served as a judge in District Court in New Hanover and Pender Counties since 1996. An Army Reserve lieutenant colonel, Carroll earned a Bronze Star Medal after deploying to Iraq in 2005, where he served as a prosecutor for a year.
