Area beaches lend hands to protest against drilling

Williston mourns death of assistant principal

Williston Middle School has lost one of its biggest advocates. Assistant Principal Macy McRae Jr., a presence in the community who colleagues said loved to talk about the school, died over the weekend. He was 67.

Behind the Yellow Tape – heroin, gun seized in drug bust

Seventy bindles of heroin and a gun were seized in a drug bust last Tuesday in the Phoenix community of Navassa, according to a news release from the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office.
