Blueberry Festival draws community, tourists to celebrate fruit

Thousands gathered in downtown Burgaw on Saturday for the N.C. Blueberry Festival, which featured a car show, bluegrass music, hundreds of barbecue sandwiches and, of course, blueberries galore.

Floating on a raft off Oak Island, Bambi Chappell got caught in a riptide. About to jump off in fear, she looked up and saw a sea turtle. She followed it to safety.
