Leland town manager announces retirement

Leland Town Manager Bill Farris announced Thursday he will be retiring at the end of the year.Farris, who will turn 68 this year, has served as the town’s manager since 2006. He will officially retire on Dec. 16.

Campaign nets 108 DWI arrests in New Hanover, Brunswick

Troopers made 108 DWI arrests during a five-day campaign earlier this month that targeted drunk drivers in New Hanover and Brunswick counties, according to the N.C. Highway Patrol.
