A former Wilmington physician’s assistant pleaded guilty Monday to several drug-related charges, including two counts of illegally prescribing controlled substances.

10-screen movie theater coming to Monkey Junction

Carmike Cinemas Inc. is planning to open a 10-screen, 1,800-seat theater next summer in The Village at Myrtle Grove, 5511 Carolina Beach Road where Home Depot and Staples are located. It will feature Carmike’s latest redesigned auditorium format, dubbed BIG D.
