A director with South Carolina’s Office of Ocean and Coastal Resource Management has been named the new director of the N.C. Division of Coastal Management, according to a press release from the division office.

Bridge-opening notices return after line repair

Wilmington-bound drivers from Brunswick County are now getting some advance notice when the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge goes up. The N.C. Department of Transportation has started posting notifications on permanent overhead highway signs again, several months after a severed phone line rendered the signs dormant.
