Tutor arrested for indecent liberties with a 12-year-old girl

WHITEVILLE, NC (NEWS RELEASE) — On November 16, 2011 at 11:30 PM the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office arrested 36 year old Jammie Lynn Locklear of Lake Waccamaw on one count of Indecent Liberties with a Student. Locklear was placed under a $10,000 secure bond.

The alleged incident occurred earlier that evening, but did not occur on school property. Locklear is employed with the Columbus County Schools at the same school the 12 year old female victim attends.

Bladen County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the arrest which occurred without incident.

The incident is still under investigation and no further details are being released at this time.
