RALEIGH, NC (WWAY) — For the first time in American history, a collection of almost 50 paintings by master artist Rembrandt are on exhibit – first stop, Raleigh!

Tonight on WWAY NewsChannel 3 at 6, Marissa goes behind the velvet rope at the North Carolina Museum of Art to get an exclusive look at the collection.

More than five years in the making, the primary focus of the exhibition is on the history of Rembrandt collecting in America and explores his work across various genres, his artistic evolution, and his influence on other artists of the day.

The exhibition runs through January 22, 2012.
