WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — There’s another reason to celebrate today for one Wilmington couple as their baby girl decided to make her grand entrance on Leap Day.
Sara Elizabeth Foy was born at 6:23 this morning, weighing in at eight pounds, six ounces. She’s a healthy, happy baby born to proud parents Grace and Jarmell. Sara came a week late, and both mommy and daddy said they weren’t thrilled about the idea of her coming on Leap Day, but they’ve definitely warmed up to it.
“She won’t get her driver’s license until she’s 64 if it goes like that. We were hoping she would come any day but Wednesday. Now it’s kind of cool. We can do her birthday on the 28th and the 1st or the 28th, 29th and the 1st. It’s kind of cool now. She is a little rare one.”
Grace and Jarmell said they are just overwhelmed with love and are so excited to see what’s in store for their new bundle of joy.
