STORMTRACK 3: Weekend storms prompt lots of watches/warnings

Sunday, March 25th, 2012

SOUTHEASTERN NC (WWAY) — A strong storm system continues to bring southeastern NC rain, wind, hail, lightning, thunder and a multitude of watches and warnings.

The combination of a strong system moving in from the west and the warm weather has created strong and severe storms in the Carolinas and along the East Coast. These scattered storms can be expected to continue throughout the night.

The biggest threats associated with these storms include damaging wind gusts and hail. The possibility of tornadoes is low but cannot be ruled out.

Stick with WWAY online and on-air for all the latest watches and warnings.
