Wilmington Police make an arrest in weekend shooting

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — One man was killed in a shooting on Castle Street Sunday night, now Wilmington police have made an arrest.

Police issued two warrants in connection with the shooting of 22 year old David Mc Phatter outside of a store in the 800 block of Castle Street.

Tuesday night one man is under arrest, twenty year old Codey Cesar Guerrero turned himself in to police and will be charged with first degree murder. A second person 20 year old Terrell Artez Robinson is still sought by Wilmington police, please contact them if you have any information.

Lightning strike ignites fire in Oak Island

A $1 million home in Oak Island was destroyed in a blaze ignited by lightning Monday evening as a thunderstorm swept through Brunswick County, a fire official said.

Brunswick, Pender volunteer fire departments receive grants
