WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Beryl is beginning to exit the area and push offshore. The last of the rain will be more in the form of scattered showers under mostly cloudy skies. The storm has already dropped anywhere from 2-4" of rain. While the system was still classified a tropical depression at the 11am advisory, it will likely become a non-tropical system this afternoon.

We have not received any reports of any major flooding or any damage from the system. Our forecast for the rest of the day remains on track, and un-changed.

Here’s a look at your StormTrack 3 forecast:

  • Midday into the afternoon: Showers become more scattered as Beryl starts to pull away. Peeks of sunshine developing. Highs in the upper 70’s.
  • Tonight: Clearing skies. Lows in the mid 60’s. West winds at 5-10 mph.

Stay tuned to WWAY for updates, and head to Hurricanes 101.
